A farm takes root
Lloyd and Viola begin farming in Middle Georgia, working together to grow something lasting.
What began as one family’s dream in the 1950s became a tradition of growing, sharing, and serving others.
In the mid-1950s, Lloyd and Viola Swartzentruber moved from coastal Virginia to Middle Georgia, drawn by the possibility of a quieter life and more affordable farmland.
Together they built Bermuda Knoll Farm, first tending row crops and operating a small dairy. But another part of the farm would soon become especially meaningful: its pecan orchards.
Those early roots helped shape the Bermuda Knoll family story that continues today.

Three moments help tell the story of Bermuda Knoll.
Lloyd and Viola begin farming in Middle Georgia, working together to grow something lasting.
Viola hand-picks pecans and sells them to local customers—carefully tending each order.
The original orchards remain part of the family's farms, and that commitment to quality and care lives on.
The Bermuda Knoll mission is to continue the tradition of quality and value Lloyd and Viola started, while treating people with kindness, respect, and sincere service.
